NU-FEST Strikes Back Bigger and Better

NU-FEST Strikes Back Bigger and Better

Amongst all the events we cover at all these different campuses, NU-FEST holds a special place in our heart. Why? Because last year’s NU-FEST was the first ever event Pakistan Cyber Gaming officially covered. It was a start of something big, not only for Fast University but PCG as well. We’re glad to let you guys know, we’re going back to our roots. IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN!

Amongst the several competitions the event has to offer, we’ll only look at the gaming side as usual. The games being featured this year are fan favorites DOTA 2, CS: GO while FIFA 19 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted are also included. The individual entries for FIFA 19, NFS, and PUBG mobile are 500PKR while for CS: GO and DOTA 2 it’s 600PKR. Now what’s interesting is that they have raised the bar by announcing a prize-pool of upto 100,000PKR just for gaming which is about 30k more than last year’s. Now the division of this prize-pool and the format of the games depends upon the number of participants of each game.

We do have confirmed news on PUBG mobile which will be played on 3 maps erangel, sanhok and miramaar. The points table will be updated after each match and the team topping after all 3 rounds will win the tournament. The points will be calculated based on the following table:

Now you might also be wondering what the social event will be this year and if it will live up to last year’s Qawaali night. Well, we’ve got news for you; Pepsi Battle-of-the-Bands winner Auj will be performing to close this year’s NU-FEST and that’s not something one would want to miss. Be sure to sign up now at
