PS Plus Free Games for October

For those who don’t know, PlayStation Plus is a subscription service that allows you to access online multiplayer features of games, monthly free games and discounts on the PS Store. Speaking of monthly games, at-least two games are made available for free to all subscribers of the service.

Now since the last couple of months, PlayStation have really upped their game as far as the free monthly games are concerned. Last month, Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders were up for free and a while before that, Detroit: Become Human was made free.

Sony just confirmed that October will be no less, announcing The Last of US: Remastered and MLB The Show 19 will be made free in the coming month. Selling over 1.3 million units within a week of its release, Last of US was winner of over 240 Game of the Year awards. Crititcs have gone so far as to claim that this is not only Naughty Dog’s best game ever but the best game to be ever played on a console. Keeping in mind Naughty Dog is also the franchise behind the iconic Uncharted series.

The latest MLB game, The Show 19 is also up for grabs on a free. The famed baseball game has the Memories mode which allows you to go back in time to relive some of the most iconic moments in baseball history, the Road to the Show mode will let you create your own custom player and make your way to the top of the MLB ranks while the Diamond Dynasty mode lets you play against others with real-time players in the game.

One thing that’s for sure, Sony has incredible timing making Last of Us free just after releasing the latest trailer for the Last of Us 2. We will get to play the game again and jog our memories getting us ready and pumping for Last of Us 2. At the same time, giving those who haven’t played it before a chance to experience greatness.
